If you are a business owner, you may already be aware of the immense possibilities internet marketing provides.  Whether you own a conventional business like a bakery, a restaurant, business supplies or whether you are a tailor, a health care provider or accountant, the internet can be a gold mine for new business.  It's a huge world after all.  Perhaps many of you have heard of YouTube channels that, by themselves, generate five or six figures or even more on a monthly basis.

People do business with people who they know, like and trust.  A great way to get people to know, like and trust you is to provide value.  You can provide people with value by setting up a YouTube channel or a blog where you can provide people with information on topics that might be of interest to them.  For example, a profile of your business and the kinds of goods and services your business offers, tips on how to do things, notice of discounts you might be offering or special promotions.  

A YouTube channel or a blog is also a great way to brand yourself and your business.  I will be doing posts on the importance of branding as we move forward but, as a brief example of how important your brand is, just think about the "golden arches" and what that image has done to advance the McDonald's business profile.

A business needs regular customers to survive and grow.  Another avenue that you should consider is email marketing.  When you begin adding people to your email list, those people become your regular customers.  This is another topic that I will be covering as we move forward.  You must know how to get people's names and email addresses before you can build a list of email subscribers.  That is a topic that I will cover in great detail moving forward.  It is one of the ways I build my online business.  I learned early on that "the money is in the list" (of your email subscribers) and "the fortune is in the follow-up".  This means that you have to follow up with your email subscribers.  If you continue to provide value to your "list" that list of subscribers can provide you with increased sales, revenue and, most importantly, profits.
